Disneyland Resort’s 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash ticket calendar has reached its endgame for general guests. As of September 9, the standard public event dates at Disney California Adventure are no longer available, while one unusual option remains: the D23-exclusive party on Sunday, September 27.
That final opening comes with a significant restriction. Disney says the September 27 event is reserved for D23 Members and their guests, and D23 currently lists tickets at $169. In other words, a family that missed the regular Oogie Boogie Bash ticket inventory cannot simply buy the remaining date through the ordinary route.
Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 Has Run Out of Standard Dates
Disney scheduled Oogie Boogie Bash on select nights from August 18 through October 31, with listed prices ranging from $139 to $199 depending on the date. The sellout did not happen all at once. By July 29, eight dates had already disappeared, and the following day a ninth date joined the list. By August 30, every October party was unavailable, leaving only four standard September dates at that point.
Those remaining dates have now disappeared too. The pattern illustrates how quickly a seasonal Disney event can move from broad availability to essentially no public inventory, particularly for families waiting until closer to their fall trip to commit.
The Last Ticket Has a D23 Membership Catch
September 27 is not a normal Oogie Boogie Bash date. Disney’s official calendar marks it as “D23 Night—Exclusive to D23 Members,” while D23’s official event listing says the party begins at 6 p.m. at Disney California Adventure and costs $169 per ticket.
The eligibility rules matter. D23 states that a General or Gold Member must purchase the tickets, the member must attend with their guests, and guests cannot enter without that member. Guests themselves do not need individual D23 memberships.
D23 also advertises extras specific to the night, including additional photo backdrops and a DJ at the Paradise Garden Bandstand. Otherwise, the event retains familiar Oogie Boogie Bash features such as treat trails, character experiences and Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party.
For families looking at the final ticket option, then, the $169 admission price is only part of the equation. At least one person in the group must satisfy D23’s membership requirement and be present for entry.
Limited Capacity Creates a Hard Stop for Families
Disney is explicit that Oogie Boogie Bash inventory is limited. Its official event rules say tickets are valid only for a specific event date, must be purchased online, and are not available on the day of the event. Disney also limits purchases to eight tickets per guest, per event date.
That structure is important when discussing fan frustration around sellouts. Limited inventory can create intense competition, but there is no verified evidence that Disney intentionally withheld tickets to manufacture “artificial scarcity” or force families into the D23 event. The documented facts are narrower: Disney caps attendance, standard dates have become unavailable, and the remaining September 27 option carries a membership restriction.
The pressure is especially noticeable because Oogie Boogie Bash changes the normal operating day at Disney California Adventure. As Inside the Magic previously reported about the early park cutoff, on party nights guests without event admission cannot remain for the after-hours event, making a sold-out ticket more than a missed add-on for visitors who built a trip around attending the party.
The 2026 Party Is Different Even for Guests Who Got Tickets
This year’s event also arrived with a notable entertainment change. Disneyland did not bring back the Frightfully Fun Parade for 2026, replacing it with Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party.
The broader party lineup still includes Villains Grove, immersive treat trails, character encounters and Halloween attraction overlays. Disney also added Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove to the villain lineup for 2026.
That combination makes the ticket crunch more consequential for repeat visitors: the event is not simply another chance to see last year’s exact program. Guests shut out of the remaining inventory also miss the opportunity to experience the revised 2026 entertainment package during its current run.
What Disneyland Guests Can Still Do This Halloween
Missing Oogie Boogie Bash does not mean missing Halloween at Disneyland Resort entirely. Disney’s official Halloween announcement says the broader Halloween Time celebration runs from August 21 through October 31 and includes seasonal décor and attractions across the resort, while Plaza de la Familia continues at Disney California Adventure through November 2.
Disney specifically directs guests who cannot get Oogie Boogie Bash tickets toward alternatives including Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland Park and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree in Cars Land. Inside the Magic has also covered the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday for the 2026 season. Those experiences are separate from the after-hours party and remain part of the broader seasonal resort offering.
For anyone still determined to attend Oogie Boogie Bash in 2026, September 27 is the date to watch. D23 currently shows tickets on sale, but availability is limited and could change. Disney has not announced another standard party date or a new release of general-public inventory, so guests should treat the D23 event as the only currently verified path still on sale—not evidence that more regular tickets are coming.
