Magic Kingdom's most anticipated seasonal event has officially reached its limit.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the hard-ticketed after-hours celebration that has become a Disney World autumn tradition, has sold out for the entirety of the 2026 season. A check of Walt Disney World's ticketing site this week confirmed there are no dates left to purchase, bringing to a close a selling period that spanned nights from early August into late October.
The final available date, October 25, priced at $224, sold out after the first two September nights. Thursday, September 24, which had been priced at $174, and Tuesday, September 29, at $184, both previously sold through, leaving October 25 as the last option before it, too, disappeared from the calendar.
Context matters here. This year's sellout timeline moved faster than any season since 2022, when Disney last sold its final ticket by September 11. Typically, the party sells out its full run by mid-to-late September, which makes the speed of this year's sales somewhat unusual by recent standards — though not without a hiccup along the way.
Back on August 30, one date failed to sell out ahead of time, the first occurrence of that kind for years. Every single date across the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons had sold to full capacity in advance, so this brief pause stood out. It didn't last, though; demand picked back up, and the remainder of the season sold through as expected.
As of now, Disney has not formally updated its official event page to reflect the sellout, though the ticketing system itself shows no open inventory. Anyone still holding out hope for a night at the party shouldn't give up entirely. Disney's limited-attendance events have a history of releasing small batches of tickets back into circulation when existing holders cancel or rearrange plans, so it may be worth revisiting the site occasionally in the weeks ahead.
Inside the Party Itself
For those who have already locked in tickets, the event unfolds nightly from 7 p.m. until midnight on its scheduled dates through Halloween. Ticketholders also get a head start, with early park entry opening at 4 p.m. so they can enjoy Magic Kingdom before the party atmosphere officially takes over.
The night's centerpiece moments include Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, which brings costumed characters marching through the park, and the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show set against the backdrop of Cinderella Castle. Fans of Disney's darker side can catch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, a full stage production built around the studio's most memorable villains.
Away from the headline shows, the party sticks to what's made it popular for years — trick-or-treat stations positioned throughout the park, meet-and-greet opportunities with a mix of returning and newly added characters, and select attractions dressed up with Halloween-specific overlays. Because overall attendance during the party is lower than during standard park hours, many guests also find shorter lines on popular rides throughout the night.
One of the event's more distinctive features is its costume policy. Unlike Disney's typical rules, which reserve costumes for young children during regular hours, the Halloween party opens costume-wearing to guests of every age. Certain limits remain in place regardless of age — costumes can't touch the ground, masks covering the entire face are restricted for older guests, and any prop resembling a real weapon is prohibited. Guests planning to attend are encouraged to review the full costume policy, along with the event's weather guidelines, since both can influence what's allowed on the night and how operations proceed if conditions turn rainy.
A Park Mid-Transformation
The timing of this sellout is notable given everything else happening at Magic Kingdom right now. Large sections of the park have been closed permanently over the past year to prepare for the incoming Piston Peak National Park expansion. That project includes a Cars-themed area set to combine with the current Frontierland footprint, plus an entirely new area, Villain's Land, planned for open space behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Disney hasn't announced a firm timeline for finishing either addition, though the expectation is that Frontierland will look dramatically different by 2031, the resort's 60th anniversary. Construction equipment and barricades remain part of the everyday scenery in that section of the park for now, even as the park's marquee Halloween event continues to draw strong crowds and sell out earlier than usual.
Anyone hoping to attend a future edition of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would be wise to plan ahead, given how consistently and quickly the event has been selling out in recent years.
