Tokyo DisneySea is giving a small group of guests a head start on one of the park's most anticipated returns. The resort has announced a special preview event for Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull, which is scheduled to reopen to the public on November 30, 2026.
How the Preview Works
Applications open October 1, 2026, and close October 15, 2026. Tokyo Disney Resort will select 25 winning groups, for a total of 50 people. Winners will ride the attraction before the general public and receive limited-time drinks, a group photo session, and additional extras. The campaign was announced on Tokyo Disney Resort's official Instagram page.
With only 50 spots available, this is one of the most exclusive ways to experience the attraction's return.
A Long Time Coming
The attraction closed on August 18, 2025. For roughly a year, Tokyo Disney Resort provided no reopening date and no clear explanation for the closure, an unusual stretch for a ride of this size. That changed in August 2026, when the resort confirmed the November 30 return.
Temple of the Crystal Skull is one of Tokyo DisneySea's headline attractions, alongside Journey to the Center of the Earth, Tower of Terror, Soaring: Fantastic Flight, and Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey. Its absence came during continued busy periods at the parks.
Indiana Jones Around the World
Disney currently operates Indiana Jones attractions at multiple parks: Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland, Temple of the Crystal Skull at Tokyo DisneySea, and Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril at Disneyland Paris.
Another is under construction at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent will replace DINOSAUR as part of Tropical Americas, the new land taking over the former DinoLand U.S.A. area. Disney first detailed the project at D23 in 2024 and shared further story details at this year's Expo. Construction imagery shows rapid progress, and the attraction is currently expected to open in 2027. Tropical Americas will also include an Encanto-inspired area featuring the Madrigal family's Casita, plus new dining and shopping.
