Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is about to look and sound a little different at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Muppets only recently took control of the longtime thrill ride, but Disney isn't waiting long to shake things up. Beginning November 4, the normal experience will temporarily step aside as The Electric Mayhem celebrates the holiday season.

The change won't last forever, but guests visiting Walt Disney World over the next two months will find a version of the coaster that wasn't available when the Muppets attraction first debuted.
A Holiday Takeover Begins November 4
From November 4 through January 6, the attraction will operate as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay.
The seasonal experience will begin before riders even enter G-Force Records. Holiday music will play around the courtyard near the attraction's massive guitar marquee, setting up the story before guests head inside.
Once inside, guests will find The Electric Mayhem preparing for a holiday spectacular.
Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips are rehearsing, but their preparations aren't exactly going smoothly. Familiar Muppets will also get involved as the band tries to get ready for its latest concert.
Scooter will remain part of the experience as well. The attraction's Audio-Animatronics figure finds himself trying to convince the band to stop rehearsing and get moving before their waiting fans become even more impatient.
From there, guests board the L.I.M.O. and race toward the concert.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Gets New Holiday Music
The biggest change comes with the music.
The Electric Mayhem is getting four holiday-inspired tracks for the limited-time experience, with some featuring special guests.
The announced songs include “Holiday Road” featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” featuring Jennifer Hudson, and “Silver Bells” featuring Cyndi Lauper.

That could make repeat rides especially appealing, since guests may want to experience the different seasonal songs.
The timing is particularly interesting because Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is still one of Disney World’s newest attraction transformations. Rather than leaving the new experience untouched for its first holiday season, Disney is already showing how easily The Electric Mayhem concept can change.
Guests who prefer the regular version won't have to wait too long for its return.
The Obligatory Holiday Overlay is only scheduled through January 6. Until then, anyone visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning November 4 will encounter a very different Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
