A stalled raft on Kali River Rapids had one family wondering what went wrong at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The answer turned out to be sitting right behind one of them.
A Ride Stop With an Unexpected Cause
Most Walt Disney World Resort guests assume a ride has broken down when it halts mid-journey, and few would guess they're responsible. Instagram user @familiafamaniafamily posted a video from aboard Kali River Rapids that captures the moment one passenger found out otherwise.
The man was filming after the raft came to a stop, curious about the delay, when a cast member showed up. The employee had climbed the emergency evacuation stairs on the hill leading to the main ride path.
The post's caption read:

The Moment of Realization
“Hi, my love, do you have something back behind you?” the Disney cast member asked.
“Really?” the woman replied, before pulling several cell phones from behind her back. “Oh, my god. Sorry.”
The Disney cast member then had her tug on her seat belt to confirm it was fastened, and the ride resumed. Fellow riders on the raft cheered and clapped.
“She needs to get wet now,” the man filming joked. “Let her get soaked.”
Where to Stash Your Stuff
Guests who don't want their belongings soaked can use the free storage lockers near the entrance to Kali River Rapids in Asia at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Whatever the attraction, it's best to follow all posted signs and verbal instructions from Disney cast members when boarding.
This isn't the only ride interruption making the rounds. Earlier this week, another Walt Disney World Resort guest jumped out of the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros boat ride at EPCOT.
