Shoppers in Cars Land can browse again, as Disneyland Resort reopens a Route 66-style gift shop at Disney California Adventure Park after a closure that stretched much longer than first promised.
An Extended Closure in Cars Land at Disneyland Resort

Radiator Springs Curios shut its doors on September 12 for what appeared to be a standard refurbishment. The plan at the time pointed to a reopening in “late September,” which would have meant a fairly short break for the Cars (2006)-inspired merchandise location.
That target slipped. Into early October, the Cars Land merchandise location was still sealed behind plywood construction barriers and scrim fabric, leaving its entrance and facade out of view. Disney cast members reportedly told guests that crews were renovating and updating the roof and patio and that the store had to remain closed until the work was finished.
First Look at the Finished Shop

WDWNT reported on Tuesday, October 6, that the Cars Land gift shop was open again, sharing the first photo of the building without the barriers and scrim covering it.
The visible changes appear limited to the roof and patio improvements that Disney Park guests had been told about; Disneyland Resort doesn't seem to have altered the store's personality. Wooden signs reading “Radiator Springs Curios,” “Rare Hubcaps,” “Western Junk,” “Fossils,” and “U Want It We Got It” are all in place, joined by Route 66-inspired road signs and gas advertisements.
The entrance decor is back, too. Vintage gas pumps, rusted barrels, plants, and wooden fences once again line the front of the store. None of the theming looks different, though a few pieces may have been touched up if sun or weather had worn them down.
Hours and Availability

Disneyland Resort's website and mobile app showed Radiator Springs Curios open for regular business as of Wednesday, October 7. On most days, the shop runs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Because hours can shift, checking the app before a visit is a good idea.
