Guests eyeing Walt Disney World’s next resort hotel now have two solid reasons to pay attention. Reservations for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opened on October 8, 2026, and Disney has confirmed the property will take part in both Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours when it welcomes its first guests on July 1, 2027.

Resort Perks Confirmed
Early Theme Park Entry lets guests at Disney resort hotels enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes ahead of official opening every day. Extended Evening Hours goes a step further. On select nights, guests staying at Deluxe Resorts and Disney Vacation Club Resorts can remain in a designated park for up to two hours after it closes to everyone else. Crowds thin considerably during these windows, making them a prime time to tackle headliners with short waits.
Pair that access with a spot on Bay Lake, a short distance from Magic Kingdom, and Lakeshore Lodge is shaping up as a strong choice for guests who plan to spend most of their trip at the Florida park.
A Name Settled
The project was first announced as Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge before briefly going by Disney Lakeshore Lodge. It has since picked up the possessive “Disney’s,” matching the naming convention used across the rest of the resort’s hotels. A filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office dated August 11, 2026, covers the name “DISNEY’S LAKESHORE LODGE.”

Inside the Resort
Lakeshore Lodge will offer 967 rooms, split among studios, villas, and one- and two-bedroom waterfront Lake Houses. The theming draws on Walt Disney’s affection for nature, along with films such as Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear. Guests entering the lobby will find a fiber-optic river and a blown-glass installation inspired by “Colors of the Wind.”
Dining options include Moonglade, Bay Lake Provisions, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, while Dandelion Terrace will look out toward Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. Poolside, The Wetlands area will feature a zero-entry pool with a spiral slide, the Daydream River lazy river, and play areas for children.
Construction Update
Work on the site remains steady. Aerial images shared by theme park photographer Bioreconstruct on September 19, 2026, showed progress on The Wetlands and the Cypress Point pool areas, along with landscaping around the property.
The resort’s progress comes during a broader period of change for Walt Disney World. Over at Magic Kingdom, the Rivers of America has closed to make room for Piston Peak National Park, and Villains Land is still to come.

What This Means for You
Anyone planning a summer 2027 visit or later can book now. With early entry and after-hours access confirmed alongside a location close to Magic Kingdom, securing a room sooner rather than later is the safer move before availability narrows.
