A small stretch of Fantasyland is partly roped off at Magic Kingdom Park, as Walt Disney World Resort repaints a worn mural near the Tangled (2010)-inspired restrooms. The restrooms themselves are still open, but Disney Park guests may notice tighter quarters at the entrance.
A Mural Showing Its Age

The mural above the entrance to the women's restroom in the Tangled-themed area was repainted in the summer of 2025. Over the following year, relentless sunshine and Central Florida's notorious thunderstorms took a toll on the colorful, floral-inspired artwork. Just a few weeks ago, it looked chipped and faded, and Walt Disney World Resort has now started refurbishing it.
Progress So Far

WDWNT reported on October 19 that the section of the mural above the arch-shaped restroom entrance has been refreshed and appears finished. Photos shared by the outlet show the updated artwork.
The work isn't done yet. The portion of the mural that spills onto the sidewalk from the base of the tower is still incomplete. That stretch took the most abuse from foot traffic, and it is currently blocked by a few rolling planters while Disney cast members repaint it. No reopening date has been announced for the blocked-off section.
What Guests Should Expect
The Tangled restrooms remain open despite the project. The rolling planters reduce the available space around the entrance, so guests heading into the women's restroom may have to wait for others to exit before entering.

Walt Disney World Resort hasn't publicly addressed the refurbishment, which is typical. Disney rarely comments on maintenance that doesn't force attractions, restaurants, shops, or other guest amenities to close.
Because the paint job is limited to one section of the mural, it's likely to wrap up relatively soon, though Disney hasn't confirmed a timeline. Guests visiting Fantasyland in the coming days can expect to see the planters until the work is complete.
