Law enforcement responded to a reported battery somewhere in the Disney's Hollywood Studios Resort Area at Walt Disney World Resort on Monday afternoon. The call came in during a busy part of the day for the Central Florida Disney parks, and details about what happened remain scarce.
The 911 Call Originating Near Disney's Hollywood Studios

The Orange County Sheriff's Office received the call at 3:12 p.m. on October 19. It described an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at an address on Showbiz Boulevard, a road that typically corresponds to Disney's Hollywood Studios or nearby Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Central Florida law enforcement monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the scanner report on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing:

Because the entry lists only a street, the exact setting is uncertain. The altercation could have taken place inside Disney's Hollywood Studios, at one of the Disney Resort hotels in the area, or on nearby transportation such as the Disney Skyliner, watercraft, or buses.
What Remains Unknown

Nothing has been released about who was involved or how badly anyone may have been hurt. It's also unclear whether the people in the altercation were theme park guests, cast members, or individuals with no connection to the resort who were simply passing through the property.
Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff's Office has commented publicly. Additional information could surface later if a police report is published or if criminal charges are filed against anyone involved.
Impact on Guests

The My Disney Experience app shows no operational delays at Walt Disney World Resort following the incident. Guests can continue with planned visits to Disney's Hollywood Studios or any other destination on the Central Florida property.
