Disney World Didn’t Even Wait for Halloween to End Before Going Full Christmas

Happy Halloween, everyone! It’s literally one of the best days of the year. Costumes, candy, spooky movies, all of it. So you can imagine our faces when we heard that World of Disney at Disney Springs is already completely decked out for Christmas.

Like, fully. Trees, presents, holiday trains, red and green lights. The whole thing. And it happened on October 30, a full day before Halloween. Disney, we love you, but can we at least finish the candy first?

The Halloween Stuff? Gone.

That back room where all the Halloween merch used to live? It’s all Christmas now. No pumpkins, no spooky Mickey ears, just holiday cheer as far as the eye can see.

Okay, we’ll admit it. It does look really cute.

Red and Green Everything

As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice the ceiling down the middle of the store is lit up in red and green. It instantly feels like December, even though it’s 80-something degrees outside and people are still walking around in costumes.

Mickey Is Driving a Holiday Train

The star of the show is a red-and-green train engine right in the middle of the store. Mickey is leaning out the window, there are presents piled on the back, and a sign says “Delivering Holiday Magic.” There’s even a Mickey-shaped wreath with a fake candle on the front.

Honestly, it’s a perfect photo spot. We’d pose with it. Who are we kidding, we will pose with it.

Christmas Trees and Fake Presents Everywhere

There’s a big Christmas tree on the main display with peppermint swirl ornaments, poinsettias, bows, and a sparkly snowflake on top. Smaller trees nearby are covered in shiny red ornaments.

Fake presents are basically everywhere, wrapped in red-and-green snowflake and plaid designs. Some of the shelves even have big metal bows on top, so they look like giant wrapped gifts. Cute touch.

You’ll also spot artwork of Pluto riding in a train car full of presents, plus a “Warm wishes” sign with Mickey and Minnie in the snow.

The Back Room Is Next Level

If you only go to one part of the store, make it the back. The entrance has railroad crossing signs with Chip ’n’ Dale, which is adorable.

Inside, there are toys sitting on a red sleigh on top of a chimney, and the display underneath looks like a snowy little house. There are more fake presents up on the shelves, and the walls have projections of Mickey and his friends, plus reindeer, all celebrating the holidays. The back wall even says “Unwrap Magic of the Holidays.”

And in the back, there’s Mickey driving his holiday train again, with Minnie, Donald, and Daisy riding along behind him in train cars, all in front of glowing Christmas trees. It’s a whole holiday parade, just without the parade.

Okay, What’s Going On With the Windows?

Here’s the juicy part. Some of the display windows outside World of Disney are covered up with white-framed artwork. Some have sketches of Merlin and Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. Others have the World of Disney logo with the words “We’re drawing up some new magic.”

So yeah, something is definitely happening behind there. Our guess? New holiday window displays. We’re keeping our eyes on this one.

The Parks Are Next

World of Disney might be first, but it definitely won’t be the only spot going full Christmas. We wouldn’t be shocked to see more holiday merch pop up in the parks today. And by Monday? The parks will probably be totally decorated.

That makes sense, because the holiday events are right around the corner. Disney Jollywood Nights starts November 7 at Hollywood Studios, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off November 8 at Magic Kingdom. So the holiday season is basically here, whether we’re ready or not.

Let Us Have Halloween, Please

Look, we’re not mad. The decorations are gorgeous, and we’ll definitely be stopping by. But today is Halloween, and we’re going to enjoy every spooky second of it.

Tomorrow? Fine. Bring on the Christmas trees.

So tell us, are you team “too early” or team “Christmas all the time”?
