Disney World Officially Changes Oga’s Cantina at Hollywood Studios Park

Batuu’s most notorious watering hole has opened up a new way in. Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has launched a to-go service, letting guests in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge pick up beverages from the establishment and carry them through the land without committing to a full cantina visit.

Where to Find the Oga’s To-Go Queue

The new line, photographed by WDWNT, is located to the right of the hostess stand. Roped-off stanchions with brown banners mark it as the Oga’s To-Go Queue. Mobile ordering is not offered, so guests need to step into line and order in person with a cast member.

A full menu is displayed at the ordering point, but for now the to-go option covers drinks only, with food excluded. The cantina’s two-drink limit still applies, counted per form of identification.

Guests shouldn’t expect the signature glassware. Every to-go beverage is served in a plastic cup instead of the specialty vessels used inside. Anyone ordering a drink that normally comes in a souvenir mug will still receive it in a plastic cup, with a new mug handed over separately in its packaging to take home.

What the Full Cantina Visit Still Involves

The to-go line arrives as an alternative to an experience with plenty of rules attached. Inside, guests play bounty hunters, smugglers, and weary travelers grabbing a moment of rest before their next trip across the galaxy. R-3X, the droid DJ and former Starspeeder 3000 pilot from the original Star Tours attraction, handles the music, while Oga Garra’s strict code of conduct keeps order among the regulars. Alcoholic options include the Jedi Mind Trick cocktail, Bad Motivator IPA, and Toniray wine, alongside drinks for all ages.

Walt Disney World strongly recommends advance reservations because space is limited, and separate theme park admission is required. Every member of the party must be present at check-in, which opens no earlier than 15 minutes ahead of the reservation time, with the confirmation email, photo ID, and booking card ready.

The cantina is mostly standing room with limited seating, and visits are capped at 45 minutes per party, a limit some guests have recently criticized. Guests must be 21 or older with valid photo ID to buy alcohol, and the two-drink maximum remains in force. Disney notes that offerings, prices, and experiences are subject to change or cancellation without notice.

Guests who want a cantina drink in hand while exploring Galaxy’s Edge, without planning around a reservation slot and a 45-minute clock, now have a simpler route. Just be ready to queue in person, settle for plastic, and leave the food for another visit.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
