5 Reasons Why Disney’s Hollywood Studios Makes For a Fantastic Date Night

SciFi Dine In Theater

Living in Orlando, and even visiting Orlando, is great because you have so many options for date night. However, my favorite option is heading to Walt Disney World. The parks all have the potential to be perfect date-night spots, and I personally love heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios if I’m craving a fun, laid-back, but also romantic evening with my significant other. Here are five reasons why Hollywood Studios makes for a fantastic date night:

5) Awesome backdrops for photos

I am picture crazy and I love capturing any and all special moments. That’s why I love heading to Hollywood Studios for date nights because the park itself is just the perfect background for any picture. You can take a classy picture with the Chinese Theatre in the background or head down Hollywood Boulevard and show off your best-scared face with the Tower of Terror behind you. And, if you’re a Pixar fan like me, the Pixar area also makes for great photos, too.

4) Shows

Just like you would head to a Broadway show for a date night, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has shows you can take in during a date night, too! Though they aren’t as long and not of the same caliber, the shows at the park are still a great way to have a good time with your significant other. My personal favorite is Fantasmic! because you’ll end your evening together on a fun note, laughing and nodding along to the super catchy music. However, you can also take in a show during the day as well, including Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage or the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.

3) Plenty of opportunities for drinks and conversation

Many first dates, and dates in general, consist of grabbing drinks, alcoholic or not, and sharing meaningful conversation. Funnily enough, Hollywood Studios allows you to do just that. There are many places throughout the park that sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, giving you the chance to grab the drink of your choice and find a spot to relax and talk. If you want to chat over coffee, grab something from Starbucks and head to the tables directly across. If you’re more in the mood for an adult drink, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge offers a number of cocktails and beers to satisfy your thirst and a cozy atmosphere for you and your significant other to get to know each other better.

2) Fun rides

The key to a fun-filled date night at Hollywood Studios is making time to ride the awesome attractions it has to offer. If you and your significant other are competitive, head over to Toy Story Midway Mania and see whose score is the highest. If you love suspense, make a reservation to ‘drop in’ to the Hollywood Tower Hotel and experience the Tower of Terror—you can even hold their hand if you get scared. If you love thrills and speed, take a ride on Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster and scream at the top of your lungs. If you’re both into movies, step inside classic films on The Great Movie Ride. And, if you love Star Wars, then riding Star Tours is a no brainer, especially since there are new scenes and characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I’m a girl who loves all types of a rides, so being able to experience them during a date is a dream come true!

1) A variety of choices for a great date night dinner

The best part of Hollywood Studios is that you can choose if you want a romantic date night or a fun date night because both are possible! If you’re looking to have a super romantic evening, you can choose to dine at the Hollywood Brown Derby or at Mama Melrose’s, which offer excellent food and drink options. If you want a more fun, unique and laid-back atmosphere, I’d suggest either the Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre or the 50’s Prime Time Café. But either way, you’re bound to have an evening you won’t soon forget.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is an excellent choice if you want a date night that isn’t just your average dinner and movie combination. Choosing to have your date night at a theme park allows you to have so many options of activities and your date can last all day and all night if you really want it to. Consider heading to Hollywood Studios the next time it’s date night!
