5. Kids can’t ride everything

Even though it’s a theme park built around kids, remember that your children may not be tall enough to ride everything. Instead of going there and facing disappointment when you get all the way to the front of the line, find out what rides are suitable for which age groups. The My Disney Experience website states how tall your child has to be to ride each attraction. The last time I went on Slinky Dog Dash, a family was turned away at the front of the line because their son was too small. They had waited in line for over two hours!

6. It’s going to rain

It should go without saying that the weather in Florida is pretty unpredictable. And, because it’s unpredictable, you can almost guarantee that it’ll start raining when you least expect it. This means that certain rides will close if they are monitoring a storm, thus putting you in que. My recommendation is to always come prepared and wear sneakers that way you’re feet don’t get wet, pack a poncho and bring an umbrella. While you certainly don’t have to stop enjoying your day simply because it’s raining, you don’t want to be walking around being all soaking wet.

7. Wear comfortable shoes

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked around Disney World in flip flops and then consequently hated myself later on for my decision. Sure, your flip flops or Chuck Taylors may look great with your outfit, but comfort is paramount when you’re vacationing in Disney World. Always, always, always opt for comfort when you spend a day in the parks. This tip cannot be stressed enough!

8. You can get new Fastpasses after you’ve used up your others

If you use your last Fastpass at 5:00 p.m, for example., you can log on to the My Disney Experience app to see what other ones are currently available to grab. Please note, that these go quickly so you can’t linger on your decision for too long otherwise you may miss out altogether.
