We previously reported mid-February that the Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom would be getting a royal makeover. Construction for the makeover began right away. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit and with park closures and social distancing, construction came to a halt in March.

As seen in the picture below by WDWNT, a crane has arrived and construction looks like it has once again begun on Cinderella Castle!

The question is will the work be complete by the time the Magic Kingdom begins its’ phased reopening on July 11? Disney did previously report the makeover would be complete by the summer of 2020, but with the pandemic, we’re unsure what the construction timeline may be.
