Alex Trebek, the beloved host of Jeopardy, passed away this morning, November 8, 2020 at his home after his battle with cancer. While Trebek was well-known for his role as host of Jeopardy, he also had a connection with Disney as he was featured in EPCOT’s former “Ellen’s Energy Adventure”.
As shared by CNN: “Alex Trebek, the genial “Jeopardy!” host with all the answers and a reassuring presence in the TV game-show landscape for five decades, has died. He was 80 years old. “Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends,” said a statement shared on the show’s Twitter account Sunday. “Thank you, Alex.” The cause of death was not immediately announced. Trebek revealed in March 2019 he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, triggering an outpouring of support and well wishes at the time.”

DisneyFandom reports: “For Disney, Trebek voiced himself on the animated series Pepper Ann. He also appeared as himself in the Epcot attraction Ellen’s Energy Adventure. In addition, he did the voice of the agency tape Recorder in Spy Hard. He was even mentioned in The Muppets episode “Generally Inhospitable”.”
