For the ultimate destination wedding, Disney Cruise Line offers ceremony venues both on each ship as well as on Disney’s private island, and each one can make for a truly magical way to tie the knot.

Disney Weddings shared the details of couple Micaela and Dominick who planned a wedding ceremony on Castaway Cay and a celebration aboard the Disney Dream. The college sweethearts are Disney fans who have already made magical memories visiting Disney Parks and resorts around the world, including Disneyland where they became engaged at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, so it was a no-brainer that the pair would have a Disney wedding.

“As Disney fans with a love for traveling, we wanted to make our wedding a vacation that our family and friends will never forget,” the couple said. Rather than an event that would only last for a couple of hours, the whole family joined the couple on their week-long wedding trip aboard the Disney Dream!

For their ceremony venue, the couple chose Wedding Pointe located on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island. This location offers a picturesque backdrop of the beach and ocean, as well as the Disney Cruise Line ship itself off in the distance.

In deciding between one of the venues onboard the ship and Wedding Pointe on Castaway Cay, bride Micaela shared, “It was a hard decision to decide between the many wonderful locations to wed aboard the Disney Dream, but it was the breathtaking views and beautiful floral arch that solidified our decision.”

Once the couple said their “I do’s” on the island, everyone headed back to the ship to celebrate. The celebration aboard the Disney Dream included a signature drink, toasts, and of course, wedding cake. And, the couple capped off the day with a romantic dinner at Palo and portraits with their photographer around the ship.

Micaela and Dominick were one of the many couples who had to postpone their wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic, but it looks like the event with Disney Cruise Line was well worth the wait!
