4. Power Failure

Without electricity, there’s really no reason for the parks to be open. In July of 2002, a substation near Epcot’s Test Track suffered an electrical fire, causing blackouts to the park and surrounding resorts. Disney parks are equipped with backup power sources, so a repeat of this event would be unlikely.  However, in the 2002 incident the back-up power failed due to water damage from putting out the initial fire.
