Nearly three weeks after Crush's Coaster disappeared from public view, Disneyland Paris Resort has offered guests a fresh look at construction progress on the Finding Nemo (2003)-inspired ride, which remains closed through summer 2027.
Refurbishment of a Ride Unique to Disney Adventure World
Guests had their final chance to ride Crush's Coaster on September 6, 2026, ahead of its scheduled closure the following day. Disney had confirmed earlier this year that the ride would shut down for refurbishment on September 7, with plans to reopen sometime during summer 2027.
Crush's Coaster holds a distinct place among Disney Park attractions worldwide, as it is exclusive to Disney Adventure World, formerly known as Walt Disney Studios Park. The ride has never been replicated at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, or any other international Disney destination.
When the closure took effect on September 7, guests arriving at Disney Adventure World found the Worlds of Pixar attraction fully enclosed by construction walls, some of which were decorated with submarine-style windows featuring Finding Nemo character artwork. Bilingual signage posted on several barriers read:
“This area is being refurbished for your future enjoyment.”
Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't detailed specific plans for the ride or confirmed whether guests should expect visible changes when it reopens next summer, though a recent behind-the-scenes glimpse has offered some insight into the ongoing work.
A Look at the Current Construction
X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos on September 28 showing cast members actively working on the attraction's exterior, writing:

While European Disney Park guests still can't see what's happening inside the ride itself, the photos show multiple cast members working from construction lifts positioned around the Finding Nemo-themed facade.
Disneyland Paris Resort has not announced a specific reopening date for Crush's Coaster, though the ride remains on track to return to Worlds of Pixar within Disney Adventure World sometime in summer 2027.
