Visiting Disneyland Paris as an adult is usually filled with nostalgia, thrills, and a bit of childlike wonder. But on a recent trip, something unexpected happened: my wife and I found ourselves on a secret, Deadpool & Wolverine-themed adventure! And no, it wasn’t a fan event—it was an actual experience tucked away in the Disney Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel.

We’d been staying at Sequoia Lodge (the cozy, woodland-themed hotel) but decided to hit up the Skyline Bar at the Marvel-themed hotel nearby. While enjoying our Marvel cocktails and debating the finer points of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I noticed our waiter sporting a Deadpool & Wolverine pin. Being the curious fan I am, I asked him where he got it. And that, my friends, was the start of our secret mission.

Turns out, the pin came from a hidden VIP experience within the hotel. Armed with a QR code from a Deadpool & Wolverine poster in the lobby, we made a reservation for the next night. And when the time came, we embarked on our undercover mission. After getting instructions from the concierge (who was very in on the secrecy), we took an elevator to the sixth floor, where we found a tiny broom closet adorned with graffiti—classic Deadpool.

Knocking on the door led to one of the most immersive experiences I’ve had in a while. A Cast Member greeted us through a small hatch and, true to Deadpool fashion, started grilling us about why we were there, telling us we had to clean the pantry before getting in. After a bit of playful banter (and a lot of awkwardness), we were finally let into the lounge—a VIP room decked out with Deadpool & Wolverine memorabilia, Easter eggs, and costumes.

The catch? You couldn’t take any pictures until you ordered a drink. So, we opted for the non-alcoholic one, which came topped with marshmallows and an ice cube featuring Deadpool’s face. Once we’d had a sip, we were free to roam the room and take all the pictures we wanted. And believe me, the detail was worth it—everything from the TVA (Time Variance Authority) typewriter to Deadpool’s favorite soundtrack (cue George Michael’s “Careless Whisper”) set the mood.

Our hour flew by, and just when we thought it was over, the staff directed us to another door, promising a final surprise. Expecting something epic, we opened it… only to find a tiny bathroom. Yep, they got us good.

The Deadpool & Wolverine experience is clearly a promotional setup, but here’s hoping it becomes a permanent feature at Disneyland Paris. After all, who doesn’t want to hang out with the Merc with a Mouth and everyone’s favorite grumpy mutant?
