Disney Changing Its Iconic Cars Land Restaurant as We Know It, Effective January 20

Disney is changing the menu at one iconic eatery.

In recent years, Disney has quietly leveled up its theme park dining.

Menus have become more thoughtful, plant-based options are more common, and specialty beverages now rival standalone cafés. (The sheer variety of festive coffees available at Disneyland Resort for the holidays in 2025 is proof alone of that fact.)

At Disney California Adventure, Flo's V8 Cafe has long been a fan favorite. Inspired by Route 66 diners, the Cars Land staple blends neon signage, motor oil accents, and wide-open seating that overlooks Radiator Springs Racers.

Disney describes the cafe on its website as “nostalgic and novel at the same time” with decor that “put[s] you inside the Pixar movies while transporting you to a simpler time, from vintage-style gas pumps to tailpipe light fixtures to 2-toned tuck-and-roll upholstered banquettes!”

Now, Disney is revamping the restaurant’s menu, rolling out a slate of new food and drink items beginning January 20.

The update refreshes classics, expands kids’ meals, and introduces several entirely new offerings across mains, sides, and beverages.

New food additions include the Big Dipper Cheeseburger with pepperoncini cheese sauce, Winner’s Circle Chicken and Waffle, and two versions of Fillmore Groovy Greens — one plant-based and one topped with crispy chicken fenders.

The lineup continues with the Ka-Cheeseburger, Tuned-Up Chicken Fenders tossed in sauce, Fast Track Loaded Fries, a Cup of Chili with cone-shaped cornbread, Mini Buckwheat Waffles, Mack’s Mac & Cheese, and a Micro Burger kids’ meal served with fruit and vegetables.

Beverages are also expanding. New non-alcoholic drinks include Start Your Engine Cold Brew, Stop Sign Cream Soda Pop, and a standard cold brew, alongside Flo’s Classic Shakes. Alcoholic options now include Brewery X Fender Bender IPA, Pacifico Cerveza Clara, and a Seaborn Passion Guava Margarita.

These updates replace a more limited existing menu. Current items include a hearty plated meal with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, the Race Day Salad, a Pastrami Sandwich on rye, and the previous Ka-Cheeseburger with 1000 Island dressing.

Alcohol selections are also changing. The outgoing list features Brewery X Fender Bender IPA, Noble Ale Works Pink Lemonade Seltzer, and two Seaborn margaritas — Cranberry-Blood Orange and Pineapple Habanero — all served over ice.

The most notable addition, in our view, is the arrival of Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company. Bringing Joffrey’s cold brew into Cars Land signals a broader push to elevate quick-service beverages beyond standard fountain drinks, giving the land a much-needed caffeine boost.

Kachow, indeed.

What do you think of the new menu for Flo's V8 Cafe?
