More than 70,000 Disney cast members keep The Most Magical Place on Earth running. From entertainment to security, housekeeping to parking, each department brings something uniquely necessary to Walt Disney World Resort. And while most employees generally enjoy being part of the magic, not even Disney Parks can entirely eliminate cast member conflict.

On Monday, a Disney’s Animal Kingdom guest reported witnessing a jarring interaction on their way out of the theme park. According to u/hhh878 on Reddit, security cast members chased a rogue employee as their shocked coworker repeatedly screamed, “Stop!”

This isn’t the first incident involving a Walt Disney World Resort cast member in recent months. In December, one Disney’s Animal Kingdom employee allegedly scammed another out of $1,000 at work. Days ago, an EPCOT maintenance cast member hit a guest’s vehicle with a Disney-owned truck as they drove slowly through the parking lot.

This cast member altercation also occurred near the parking area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The guest said they “saw a cast member sprinting away from a group of about six other cast members near the parking tram. “

“The cast member closest to her was screaming ‘[Name of cast member*], stop!’ over and over again,” the guest wrote. “Tons of security running after them at full sprint.”

They could not confirm the reason behind the Disney cast member’s “curious” behavior.

While this guest didn’t stick around to see the incident’s resolution, another Disney Parks fan said they also saw something “weird” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Monday.

“About 6 o’clock today I saw a cast member being [walked] out by security,” said u/lagalaxysedge.

It’s unclear whether these two accounts are related to the same incident or if any of the employees involved were terminated.

This wouldn’t be the first time a Disney cast member’s firing was publicized online. Last summer, a Magic Kingdom Park cast member was fired when a video of her heated conversation with a guest went viral. The former Disney cast member claimed that the guest threw racial slurs at her before recording her reaction. Many Disney Parks fans slammed the company for firing her.

In another publicized incident, a disabled former cast member sued Walt Disney World Resort for unlawful termination. It was medically necessary for the merchandise cast member to sit every 30 minutes, an accommodation she made clear when applying for her “dream job.” Allegedly, managers ignored her requested disability accommodations and forced her to stand for extended periods, eventually sending her to the hospital. She was later fired.

A Starbucks cast member at Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney was fired in 2022 after she clapped back at an influencer. The influencer posted a video complaining about her Starbucks experience on TikTok, where the cast member involved responded with her side of the story. Both clips went viral, with many calling the influencer a “Karen” for getting a young woman fired over a Starbucks beverage.

Report any suspicious or unsafe behavior at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort to the nearest Disney cast member or Guest Services. Every Disney park has policies in place to prevent guests and employees from causing harm.
