Disney Cast Members Receive Recycle Right Champion Picker Award

The Recycle Right Champion Picker Award is used by the Walt Disney Company to recognize those Cast Members who show an outstanding commitment to the parks’ and resorts’ environmental sustainability and zero waste initiatives.

Today, we are wishing the utmost congratulations to the latest recipients of the Recycle Right Champion Picker Award, Cast Members Jim and Christine from the Walt Disney World Resort!

Both Jim and Christine have shown their commitment to preserving the environment through their support of Disney’s zero waste programming while keeping a friendly and helpful demeanor when interacting with Guests and inspiring their fellow Cast Members to take similar initiative.

Disney shared that the two recipients fulfill the award’s mission of always acting with consequences to the environment at top of mind and using their creativity to continue to find new ways to minimize waste in their work areas. Each Cast Member through their much appreciated hard work in sustainability has found ways to make the most of local recycling programs and to teach their colleagues the importance of recycling and maintaining zero waste environments.

Recipients of the Recycle Right Champion Picker Award are given their very own picker, themed to support environmental sustainability, so if you see a Cast Member out and about around the Walt Disney World Resort with a uniquely reimagined picker, you may just be looking at one of the award recipients!
