Disney Confirms 9 Disney World Rides Will Be Replaced Starting November

Walt Disney World guests are about to discover that some of their favorite attractions aren't quite the same.

Starting in November, Disney will temporarily replace the normal versions of nine attractions across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with holiday experiences. Some changes involve new soundtracks, while others bring special lighting, decorations, jokes, and seasonal twists.

None of these replacements are permanent, but guests visiting during the holidays could experience several attractions in ways that aren't available during the rest of the year.

Five Magic Kingdom Attractions Get Holiday Makeovers

Magic Kingdom leads the way with five seasonal attraction changes.

Space Mountain will add high-energy holiday music and festive interior lighting during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Tomorrowland Speedway will become Tomorrowland Speedway Race, filling the attraction with thousands of lights, futuristic decorations, and holiday music.

Mad Tea Party will also change during the event, offering four different combinations of seasonal lighting and music as guests spin through Fantasyland.

Nearby, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will replace portions of its usual comedy with a seasonal show filled with holiday humor.

Jungle Cruise receives perhaps the most familiar transformation. Jingle Cruise returns with holiday decorations and seasonal puns from the attraction's skippers. Unlike several other Magic Kingdom overlays, guests can experience Jingle Cruise throughout the regular park day.

Two EPCOT Rides Change for the Season

EPCOT will bring seasonal changes to two attractions.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will temporarily replace its regular six-song rotation with three holiday tracks from November 25 through January 6, 2027.

Guests can hear “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, or “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses.

Meanwhile, Living with the Land: Glimmering Greenhouses returns from November 27 through December 30. The attraction's greenhouses receive festive lighting and decorations during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Hollywood Studios Replaces Two Ride Soundtracks

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting two changes beginning November 4.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay will temporarily change the recently opened Muppets attraction through January 6.

The Electric Mayhem's holiday set includes “Holiday Road” featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” featuring Jennifer Hudson, “Silver Bells” featuring Cyndi Lauper, and “Little Saint Nick.”

Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad's Jams will also receive a seasonal playlist from November 4 through January 6. Songs include “Deck the Halls,” “Toyland,” “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers,” and “Joy to the Swirl.”

Disney World Will Look Very Different for the Holidays

Altogether, nine attractions across three parks will offer seasonal experiences.

These aren't permanent replacements, and the normal versions are expected to return after their respective holiday runs end. For guests arriving in November and December, however, familiar attractions could suddenly sound, look, and feel much different.

And because several changes are only sticking around for weeks, experiencing all nine could become another item on the holiday Disney World checklist.
