Disney is currently auditioning new actors and actresses for some of Marvel’s most iconic and infamous roles. These auditions are currently being held for productions that are expected to begin soon.

Disney’s ownership of Marvel Studios has brought forth some of the franchise’s most interesting storylines yet, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe providing fans with one large-scale spectacle after another. Past Marvel blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2022), as well as recent releases like Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3 (2023) have continued to stir up interest in the current MCU, despite it now being 16 years old. Marvel’s next film, Deadpool & Wolverine, seeks to set the MCU on a new track as Marvel starts to embrace new characters and stories, like the highly anticipated Fantastic Four film and, eventually, Marvel’s X-Men. There’s just as much excitement on the big screen as there is of it, however, with hundreds of hours of Marvel content available to stream 24/7 from the comfort of fans’ own TVs, thanks to Disney+.

Disney’s in-house streaming platform has ushered in a new age for Marvel, allowing smaller-scale stories to be told and multiple plot lines to develop all at once, with series like Ms. Marvel and Loki becoming fan-favorites. However, Disney’s control of the Marvel brand is not just limited to the screen, with several superheroes and supervillain-inspired activities now available inside Disney’s theme parks around the world.

Avengers Campus debuted at Disney California Adventure in 2021, marking one of the larger expansion projects the Disneyland Resort has seen. Avengers Campus came equipped with several new attractions, including a brand-new ride featuring Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. In order to help Avengers Campus better fit with the rest of Disney California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! was connected to the land as well. A second version of Avengers Campus opened at Disneyland Paris in the summer of 2022, allowing European guests to immerse themselves in the world of Marvel Studios. Each version of Avengers Campus is nearly identical, though the one found at Disneyland Paris features its own unique roller coaster.

However, where the two lands split even further can be found within Avengers Campus’ shows and character encounters, which Disney is currently developing more of.

According to a new report, Disney is holding auditions for Marvel performers within the resort. Disneyland Pairs is currently looking to fill roles that include some of Marvel’s biggest and most important characters. The roles being cast include Thor, Doctor Strange, and Scarlet Witch, all of whom are major players in the past and present of the MCU.

These new roles are being developed as part of several new shows and experiences that will be featured at Avengers Campus in the future. According to the reports, actors and actresses will make their Marvel debut sometime in late 2024 or early 2025 as Disneyland Paris works on producing new, high-quality shows for Avengers Campus. Currently, fans can watch Spider-Man swing through the rooftops in Avengers Campus or stop by Doctor Strange as he teaches guests about magic.

These are not the only changes planned for Disneyland Paris, with both of the resort’s theme parks undergoing major refurbishments and improvements. Disneyland Paris is comprised of two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, with the latter seeing many areas, buildings, and experiences closing forever over the last year.

Disney Village, the resort’s version of Disney Springs and/or Downtown Disney, is also seeing major shifts and changes, with several iconic locations, such as Planet Hollywood, closing their doors forever.

About Luke Dammann

When at Disney world, Luke will probably be found eating with his favorite animatronic, Sonny Eclipse at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. When not at Disney World, Luke will probably be found defending Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe to people who claim "there are better restaurants"
