Disney Fans Spot New Character Greeting Area Expansion at Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has added another new character experience, and families with younger kids are already taking notice.

Bitsy from Disney Junior’s SuperKitties is now officially greeting guests inside the park as part of a new Disney Junior meet-and-greet location on Commissary Lane.

The character appears throughout the day near Red Carpet Dreams, directly across from ABC Commissary, while Sofia the First rotates into the same space between appearances.

For Disney fans who regularly visit Hollywood Studios, this addition honestly makes a lot of sense right now.

The park has changed dramatically over the past several years. Hollywood Studios once focused heavily on filmmaking and studio-style attractions, but today it leans much more into immersive lands, large-scale rides, and major franchise experiences.

That shift helped the park become more popular than ever, but it also created a park that can feel exhausting for families with younger children.

A day at Hollywood Studios usually involves massive crowds, packed walkways, and long wait times for attractions. Families often spend hours bouncing between Lightning Lane reservations and trying to secure spots for major attractions before wait times climb too high.

Character meet-and-greets help slow things down a little.

Instead of rushing from one ride queue to another, families can take a break and let kids interact with characters they already know from television and Disney+.

That is exactly why Disney Junior experiences continue playing such a major role inside the park.

SuperKitties has steadily grown into one of Disney Junior’s more recognizable newer series. The show centers around four superhero kittens protecting Kittydale and helping others through teamwork and kindness.

Bitsy has become especially popular with younger viewers, making the character a logical choice for Disney to bring into the parks.

Disney has also been expanding entertainment offerings around this section of Hollywood Studios lately. The nearby Walt Disney Studios Courtyard updates and additional family-focused experiences have helped create more activity in this part of the park.

Adding Bitsy gives families another reason to spend time there instead of crowding into major attraction areas all day long.

The meet-and-greet itself also feels very accessible compared to some of the park’s more stressful experiences.

There are no virtual queues to worry about, no height requirements, and no pressure to rope drop the experience early in the morning. Families can simply stop by during one of Bitsy’s scheduled appearance times and enjoy a more relaxed moment during the day.

Right now, Bitsy is expected to continue meeting guests through at least the summer, though Disney has not officially confirmed a final end date.

That could mean the experience sticks around longer if demand stays strong.

Disney has increasingly relied on rotating entertainment offerings and character interactions to keep the parks feeling fresh without needing constant major construction projects. Experiences like this may seem minor compared to new rides or lands, but they still matter a lot to families visiting Walt Disney World.

And for kids who love SuperKitties, finally getting to meet Bitsy at Hollywood Studios is probably a much bigger deal than most adults realize.
