Disney Makes Final Call on Orlando Closure After Year of Silence

Walt Disney World has a way of tucking small pleasures into places you don't expect. Between the parks and the hotels, there are lounges, bakeries, and galleries that guests stumble onto and remember long after the trip. Disney's BoardWalk is full of that kind of spot, and in our view, it's severely underrated.

It's also a place that's changing. New arrivals are doing well, and some longtime favorites are relocating. This week, we have an update on one of them: where the Promenade Fine Art Gallery is going next, who's behind it, and when guests might be able to visit. Here's what we've learned.

Where the Gallery Is Headed

Thanks to @charlesknowsart on Instagram, we now know that the Promenade Fine Art Gallery is moving to downtown Celebration, Florida, under a new name: Imagination Fine Art Gallery.

The gallery is owned by longtime Gallery Director Joshua Segal and Alex “Lex” Tiffin, and it will be located at 605 Market Street, Celebration, FL.

The Opening Window

No opening date has been released. When we spoke to Charles ourselves, he told us the expected timeline is currently sometime in December. That's an expectation, not a confirmed date, and it could change.

The Artists You Know

According to Charles, the gallery will continue to work with Disney Fine Art and will showcase the same artists guests often see during EPCOT's Festival of the Arts. For festival fans, that could be a way to keep seeing those artists' work beyond the event.

The Short Version

If you only have a minute, here's the story. The Promenade Fine Art Gallery, which left the BoardWalk on October 20, 2025, is reopening as Imagination Fine Art Gallery at 605 Market Street in downtown Celebration, Florida. The expected opening is sometime in December, and the gallery will keep working with Disney Fine Art and showcase artists guests often see at EPCOT's Festival of the Arts.

Everything beyond that, including an official date, is still to come.

Remembering the BoardWalk Location

The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed its doors on October 20, 2025. It wasn't closing for good, just moving locations, but until now, we hadn't heard anything about where.

We're happy to see this beloved, historic gallery land somewhere new, given that it was a staple on the BoardWalk from its opening in 1996. Photos of the now-closed gallery show an Ariel sculpture, one of the pieces guests may remember seeing there.

Two Departures, One Boardwalk

This is the second BoardWalk location to leave its original home and move. Jellyrolls closed in April 2025, and it was announced this April that the popular nighttime spot is moving just 10 minutes away from Disney World resort. If you've been missing it, it isn't going away for good.

Fresh Faces on the BoardWalk

Meanwhile, Hurly-Burly, a new lounge, opened at the beginning of October. The Cake Bake Shop has been doing very well, in our view, since its opening in October 2024.

We think those new additions have been doing a great job of revitalizing the BoardWalk, though that's our opinion and not a measurement.

A Quick Timeline

  • October 2024: The Cake Bake Shop opens.
  • April 2025: Jellyrolls closes.
  • October 20, 2025: The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closes its doors, with plans to move.
  • April (this year): The move of Jellyrolls, about 10 minutes from Disney World resort, is announced.
  • Beginning of October: Hurly-Burly, a new lounge, opens.
  • Expected December: Imagination Fine Art Gallery is expected to open in Celebration.

What the Words Mean

“Moving” describes the gallery's relocation, which reached us through an Instagram post and our own conversation with Charles. “Expected” describes the December timeline, which is a plan and not a confirmed date. And “we think” marks our own opinions, like our view of the BoardWalk and its new additions.

Open Questions

An official opening date hasn't been released. We don't know what the new space will look like inside, what it will carry, or whether its hours will resemble the BoardWalk gallery's.

We also don't know any details about Jellyrolls' new location beyond the fact that it's moving about 10 minutes from Disney World resort, and we can't say what, if anything, will take over the BoardWalk gallery's former space.

Before You Make the Trip

Since the gallery is no longer on the BoardWalk, guests looking for its artwork there won't find it. The new gallery is slated for 605 Market Street in downtown Celebration, with an expected opening sometime in December.

Check for an official opening announcement and hours before you go, since the date hasn't been confirmed. If you're a fan of the artists featured at EPCOT's Festival of the Arts, the gallery's continued work with Disney Fine Art is worth watching.
