In a surprising yet imaginative twist, Tokyo Disneyland introduced a limited-time Marvel-themed variation titled “it’s a small world with Groot.” This unique experience saw everyone’s favorite tree baby from the Marvel Universe taking center stage within the ride, blending the beloved childhood attraction with contemporary superhero charm. The first ride took place on January 15, 2025.

While some embraced the fresh take on the iconic attraction, others questioned the appropriateness of infusing Marvel elements into such a storied Disney experience.
Nevertheless, the overall response leaned toward positivity, reflecting the playful spirit that Disney encourages. The renovation concluded on June 30, highlighting its temporary nature while also opening the door for potential future collaborations or thematic updates.
