Disney Raises Prices for Multi-Day Theme Park Tickets

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort just got more expensive as ticket prices for multi-day Magic Your Way theme park tickets have been increased beginning today, February 17, 2022.

Disney Tickets

Prices for Disney theme park tickets typically increase annually in February, however, this year’s increases might be affecting fans more than usual where the sale of most new Annual Passes is still suspended. As a result, some Guests who would normally purchase Annual Passes, and therefore get a greater return on investment for their tickets, are buying multiple tickets throughout the year and spending more than what a pass would cost.

The increases for multi-day Walt Disney World tickets were not increased too dramatically, however, any increase is obviously not a welcome site to Guests where a Walt Disney World vacation is already expensive, and the increases will certainly add up for those paying for multiple family members.

The changes affect the Disney World ticket from the base ticket level and would therefore alter the overall cost of your tickets if you add on extras like Park Hopper, Water Park Fun and More, Disney Genie+, Memory Maker, etc… The cost for one-two day base tickets to a Disney Park remains the same, while nearly all other tickets across the board have received a $20-30 price increase depending on the number of days and the dates of your visit (as Disney theme park tickets now vary based on the season/date) and Park Hopper selections.

Our advice for Walt Disney World tickets? Check for discounts like AAA and military offerings if those apply to you (just be sure they are legit, and never buy partially used tickets from other Guests), and, if you know you have a Walt Disney World vacation coming up taking place later in the year, try to purchase your tickets prior to February to save some extra cash as this is typically the time when annual increases hit. And, as with any Disney Park ticket purchase these days, be sure to check the Disney Park Pass calendar for reservations on the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit before you purchase any type of theme park ticket, or if you plan to park hop.

If you are still waiting on new Annual Pass purchases, we know the feeling, and will share updates as soon as we have them on Disney resuming the sale of new passes.
