For longtime visitors of Disneyland Paris, the Walt Disney Studios Park has always felt like a place caught between potential and promise. While its sister park delivered classic Disney magic, this second gate often struggled to define itself—leaving fans wondering when it would truly come into its own.
That question has lingered for years, sparking conversations across forums, social media, and inside the parks themselves. Guests returning time and time again have watched construction walls rise and fall, teasing something bigger just beyond reach.
Now, with a major transformation on the horizon, that long-awaited moment is finally here—and fans are noticing.

A Surprising Visit Signals Just How Important This Opening Really Is
Less than 24 hours before the official debut, a high-profile visit quietly underscored the scale of what’s about to happen. Emmanuel Macron arrived at the park alongside regional president Valérie Pécresse, where they were welcomed by Disney leadership.
Together with the President of France, @EmmanuelMacron, and the CEO of @Disney, Josh D’Amaro, we visited the new thematic park of @DisneylandParis. As Europe’s leading tourist destination and most visited theme park, Disneyland Paris is not only an extremely successful business model, but also a major employer and tourism hub. Drawing millions of visitors all year-round, it helps stabilize the tourism industry beyond peak seasons and today generates around 6% of France’s total tourism revenue. This new €2 billion investment will create thousands of jobs and further strengthen Europe’s tourism sector, alongside a strong commitment to sustainable tourism practices. In today’s volatile geopolitical environment, Europe remains a safe, attractive, and leading global tourism destination.

At the center of it all was Josh D’Amaro, joined by Natacha Rafalski. Their presence wasn’t just ceremonial—it was symbolic. Guests are already reacting to the significance of such a visit, recognizing that this expansion represents more than just new attractions. It’s a statement of intent.
During the walkthrough, D’Amaro highlighted a staggering $2 billion investment into the park since 2018. For fans, that number isn’t just impressive—it’s transformative.

World of Frozen Is Set to Redefine the Guest Experience
At the heart of this expansion is the highly anticipated World of Frozen, a land that brings the beloved story to life in ways that fans have been craving for years.
Guests stepping into this new area will encounter a fully realized version of Arendelle, complete with a walking, talking Olaf animatronic, the Frozen Ever After attraction, and a live boat-based show. It’s an immersive environment designed to pull visitors directly into the story.
But what makes this especially meaningful is how it signals a shift in design philosophy. This isn’t just another addition—it’s a fully themed land built to rival Disney’s best worldwide. Fans are noticing the level of detail, the scale, and the ambition behind it.

Disney Adventure World Represents More Than Just a New Name
The transformation goes far beyond a single land. When the park officially reopens as Disney Adventure World, it marks a complete reimagining of what this park is meant to be.
Adventure Bay will serve as the emotional and visual centerpiece, tying together multiple lands with a sense of cohesion that the park previously lacked. New additions like the Rapunzel Tangled Spin ride, lush gardens, and the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge offer guests more ways to slow down and explore—not just rush from ride to ride.
A new nighttime spectacular featuring air and sea drones further elevates the experience, promising a finale that feels modern, cinematic, and distinctly Disney.

Fans Are Already Noticing the Subtle Signs of Change
Even before opening day, subtle updates across the park have sparked conversation. Guests spotted scrim being removed from the Earfful Tower, revealing elements of the park’s refreshed identity. Meanwhile, the official app quietly updated its park map, incorporating the new lands into the guest experience.
These smaller details matter more than they might seem. They signal that the transformation isn’t theoretical—it’s real, visible, and happening now.
Fans are noticing these changes not just as updates, but as proof that Disney is finally delivering on years of promises.

What This Means for the Future of Disneyland Paris
This moment isn’t just about opening a new land—it’s about redefining the trajectory of Walt Disney Studios Park entirely.
For years, this park struggled to stand alongside Disney’s global portfolio. But with the introduction of Disney Adventure World, that narrative is shifting quickly. The investment, the scale, and the storytelling all point toward a future where this park becomes a destination in its own right—not just an add-on to the main gate.
Looking ahead, this expansion could reshape how Disney approaches international parks. With additional projects like the upcoming Lion King land already underway, the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
For guests, that means something simple but powerful: the experience is evolving. And for the first time in a long time, it feels like Disneyland Paris is stepping confidently into a new era—one that fans have been waiting for all along.
