Pricing information for Disney’s new joint streaming venture has been revealed ahead of its release later this year.

Venu Sports, the new streaming venture from Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery, will come at a price of $42.99 per month when it rolls out this fall, according to Deadline.
The new report acknowledges that the price is on the higher end of streaming platforms, but the cost is “consistent with Venu’s proposition to bring linear feeds of 14 sports-centric networks to consumers without a full pay-TV subscription.”
Venu Sports was announced at the start of the year, marking one of the biggest team-ups the industry has seen, with Disney joining forces with both Warner Bros. Discovery and Fox.
The new service aims to provide fans with a brand-new way to watch live sports events. Disney has had a hand in ports ever since it purchased ESPN back in 1996.
A few mysteries still remain regarding Venu Sports, but it certainly has the potential to shake up the streaming industry in a major way.

Despite dedicating this new service to sports, NBCU and Paramount Global still hold the rights for a large number of NFL, soccer, golf, and college broadcasts, meaning Venu Sports will not be a one-stop-shop for many hardcore sports fans.
Venu Sports will come with a free seven-day trial made available to viewers after signing up for the service.
Venu Sports CEO Pete Distad has expressed his excitement about the new product, claiming the service has been built from the “ground up” for sports fans.
“With an impressive portfolio of sports programming, Venu will provide sports fans in the U.S. with a single destination for watching many of the most sought-after games and events.”

Earlier this year, The Walt Disney Company, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery were all sued over the new streaming service by FuboTV, a streaming service that also specializes in live sporting events.
“Each of these companies has consistently engaged in anti-competitive practices that aim to monopolize the market, stifle any form of competition, create higher pricing for subscribers, and cheat consumers from deserved choice,” FuboTV CEO David Gandler said in a statement.
“By joining together to exclusively reserve the rights to distribute a specialized live sports package, we believe these corporations are erecting insurmountable barriers that will effectively block any new competitors from entering the market.”
The company claimed the upcoming Venu Sports service enables the three brands to hold a monopoly over the streaming world.
