The fire ignited in a bushy area on EPCOT Resorts Blvd., according to Citizen user @Sips_tea. It burned just feet from the Speedway gas station on Disney property, risking a fiery explosion had the fire not been fought effectively. A video of the brush fire can be viewed below or by clicking this link.

It doesn’t appear that the bush fire at Walt Disney World Resort caused significant damage. All Walt Disney World Resort transportation systems continued operating throughout the incident.

More on the Disney Skyliner

Disney Skyliner gondolas take guests to and from EPCOT International Gateway, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Skyliner Resort hotels. A Disney Skyliner station is available to those staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort. Each gondola features magical wraps inspired by Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm characters!

Hoping to rope drop? The Disney Skyliner starts operating one hour before Early Theme Park Entry at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For night owls, the gondola system closes 90 minutes after the Disney theme parks close (60 minutes after Extended Evening Hours end). Before your visit, check the Disney Skyliner schedule here.

Bus transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is available for guests staying at other Disney Resort hotels. All Walt Disney World hotel guests traveling to Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, or Disney water parks must travel by bus, Monorail, Minnie Van, or watercraft.
