Disney Springs Is Hiding Free Stuff in Plain Sight and Most Guests Are Walking Right Past It

There is a vending machine sitting in the lobby of the AMC theater at Disney Springs right now that is giving away free products to anyone who walks up and presses a button. The vast majority of guests visiting one of Orlando's most heavily trafficked shopping and dining destinations have absolutely no idea it exists. That is not an exaggeration. The machine is inside the theater lobby, it is clearly visible, it costs nothing to use, and guests are walking past it on their way to dinner or a movie without stopping because nothing in their Disney Springs experience has told them to look for it.

That changes right now.

What Is Actually Happening

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens in theaters on May 1, and as part of the film's promotional campaign, a Fashion Emergency Vending Machine has been installed in the lobby of AMC DINE-in Disney Springs 24. The machine is available daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through May 3. The best part is that it's completely free to use. Walk up to the kiosk, press the screen's button, select your fashion emergency from the options, and the machine dispenses a free product. The items inside include makeup, hair products, accessories, and a Runway magazine, which is the fictional fashion publication at the center of the Devil Wears Prada universe. A guest who documented the experience on Instagram received L'Oreal Paris mascara straight from the machine at no cost.

The whole interaction takes about thirty seconds. It costs nothing. You walk away with a real product that addresses a real situation. For a Disney Springs visit where the combination of Florida heat, outdoor dining, and a full day of activity tends to produce exactly the kind of beauty and wardrobe situations the machine is designed to address, this is one of the more practical free offerings the destination has ever hosted.

The Golden Ticket Situation Starting April 30

Starting April 30 the activation gets more interesting. Each day, 32 guests across all participating locations will be selected to receive a golden ticket that grants access to a Glow Up Station styling experience. The number is intentionally limited. The selection happens daily, so timing matters if you want the styling experience. Guests visiting Disney Springs on or after April 30 who are interested in the Glow Up Station should arrive earlier in the day rather than later to give themselves the best chance of being among the 32 daily selections before spots are gone.

Everything Else Happening at the Disney Springs AMC Theater

The vending machine does not exist in isolation. The AMC theater at Disney Springs has been fully transformed into a Devil Wears Prada 2 environment. Decorated with branded banners, dedicated photo opportunities, and a red-carpet setup in the lobby that gives the whole space a fashion-event atmosphere. This aligns with the film's identity. A giant, devilish heel installation sits nearby in the Town Center area of Disney Springs. Offering guests a highly photographable landmark that extends the experience beyond the theater walls and into the broader shopping district.

The combination of the free vending machine, the golden ticket Glow Up Station experience, the theater decorations, and the outdoor installation makes this one of the more comprehensive film promotional activations Disney Springs has hosted, and most guests visiting right now do not know any of it is there.

The Window Is Closing at Disney Springs

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens May 1. The vending machine runs through May 3. The golden ticket Glow Up Station experience starts April 30 and runs through the same end date. Only 32 daily selections are available across all participating locations. That is a narrow window, and it is closing faster than most guests who would want to participate realize.

If you are at Disney Springs between now and May 3, the AMC lobby is worth a detour. Whether you are seeing a movie or not. Everything in the machine is free. The products are real. And the guests who know about it are walking away with something while everyone else keeps moving toward the parking garage without stopping. Do not be like everyone else.
