Another beloved character has been brought to life by Disney, and fans can’t help but notice the resemblance to another past Disney Park character that was removed for its correlation to a problematic Disney movie.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World Resort is set to feature some of the most advanced and captivating animatronics in the park. These life-like figures bring the magical world of Princess Tiana to life with stunning realism. Each animatronic character is meticulously designed to capture the essence and charm of the beloved characters from The Princess and the Frog.

Swapping Frogs for Frogs

Disney has unveiled a delightful ensemble of musical creatures set to charm guests in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Among the newly introduced animatronics, fans will get acquainted with the charismatic Felipe the Frog, the endearing Mayra the Frog, the dynamic Mondo the Frog, and the enchanting Isabel the Green Tree Frog. These enchanting characters are poised to infuse “the jazzy sounds and intricate rhythms of Afro-Cuban music” into the fabric of the bayou, adding a harmonious touch that promises to captivate visitors of all ages.

Felipe, with his infectious energy, Mayra’s sweet melodies, Mondo’s rhythmic beats, and Isabel’s soulful tunes, collectively contribute to an immersive musical experience that elevates the essence of the attraction. The vibrant sounds and lively movements of these animatronic performers are sure to transport guests into a world where music and magic intertwine, creating unforgettable moments within the whimsical setting of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

While many guests are thrilled with these adorable new froggy friends, others question the resemblance to another frog of the ride’s old attraction theme, Splash Mountain. These new musical frogs share a striking similarity to Splash Mountain’s resident artists, Bass Frog and Br’er Frog. Bass Frog and Br’er Frog were retired, along with all of the other animatronics that was a part of Splash Mountain. In many ways, these new frogs are a “woke” version of these frogs.

Controversy Continues

As progress continues on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure leading up to the opening this summer, fans of Splash Mountain are served many painful reminders that their favorite attraction is gone for good. As Disney continues to roll out the new characters of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, fans will be forced to face the reality that Splash Mountain will become a distant memory.

On the other hand, fans of animatronics will be wholeheartedly thrilled to see the dazzling new additions Disney is working on for this attraction. This is just the beginning of Tiana’s story, and fans can hardly wait to see what else Disney has in store.
