Other Holiday Events at Walt Disney World

While Magic Kingdom is the centerpiece of Disney’s holiday celebrations, other parks also offer festive experiences that don’t require hard-ticket events. EPCOT hosts the International Festival of the Holidays, showcasing global holiday traditions through food, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. Guests can explore the holiday kitchens, enjoy live performances, and witness the Candlelight Processional, a moving retelling of the Christmas story with celebrity narrators.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can immerse themselves in nature-inspired holiday décor, with oversized animal lanterns and festive touches throughout the park. This tranquil setting provides a more laid-back way to celebrate the season, offering a different type of holiday magic. In addition, Disney’s Hollywood Studios introduces a new event this year: Disney Jollywood Nights, which promises to bring a touch of vintage charm to the holiday lineup.

New Additions for the 2024 Season

A major highlight this season is the introduction of an in-person meet-and-greet with Santa Claus at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. From November 12 through December 24, Santa will be part of the Dino Institute Holiday Party at Restaurantosaurus in DinoLand U.S.A., offering a festive experience before the area closes in 2025 for its transformation into Tropical Americas. This marks the last chance to see Santa in this unique setting.

Staying informed about event schedules and booking tickets well in advance will help guests avoid the stress of navigating large crowds during the holiday season.

Strategies for a Successful Visit

To ensure a spot at one of Walt Disney World’s holiday events, early booking is crucial. About Emmanuel Detres

Since first stepping inside the Magic Kingdom at nine years old, I knew I was destined to be a theme Park enthusiast. Although I consider myself a theme Park junkie, I still have much to learn and discover about Disney. Universal Orlando Resort has my heart; being an Annual Passholder means visiting my favorite places on Earth when possible! When I’m not writing about Disney, Universal, or entertainment news, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle, hiking throughout my local metro parks, or spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, or friends.
