One of the largest Starbucks locations at Walt Disney World Resort has been closed for months, and there’s still no word on when—or if—it will reopen. Situated in the West Side area of Disney Springs, this Starbucks has been a go-to for many Central Florida shoppers and diners, but it’s currently closed for a refurbishment that was initially expected to be short-term.
The closure began in March and was initially announced as a months-long refurbishment. Both Walt Disney World Resort and Starbucks indicated that the closure was necessary for an overhaul that had been “a long time coming.” The initial plan was to have the location up and running again by June, but as the summer months passed, guests were left with no updates on the store’s reopening.

By July, construction walls continued to surround the Starbucks, and it seemed as though the reopening date would be indefinitely delayed. As Disney Parks fans wondered about the status of the location, there was still no official word on when it might reopen.
However, on August 13, 2025, Laughing Place reported that the construction walls around the Starbucks in Disney Springs’ West Side had finally come down. Despite the walls coming down, the location is still closed, and there have been no changes to the exterior. The updates are believed to be happening inside the coffee shop, but no details have been provided about what exactly is being altered or improved.

As of now, there has been no official announcement from Disney or Starbucks regarding a reopening date for the West Side location in Disney Springs. For guests still craving their Starbucks fix, a smaller Starbucks store is located near the World of Disney in the Marketplace area.
Starbucks also has locations in all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks: the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom Park, Connections Café at EPCOT, Creature Comforts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and The Trolley Car Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These four locations are still open and operating.

For years, Walt Disney World Resort has partnered with Starbucks for exclusive merchandise, including mugs, tumblers, and ornaments, which can be found at locations across Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, as well as on the Disney Store website.
