Disneyland Guests Held Hostage by Brawl in Fantasyland

Imagine this: you’re strolling through Disneyland Park’s iconic Fantasyland, taking in the sights, sounds, and magic, only to find yourself temporarily held up by a brawl—sounds like a plot twist straight out of a movie, doesn’t it? This week, Disneyland Resort guests were left in shock as an unusual kind of fight broke out in the park, one that had nothing to do with guests.

As families watched in surprise, two Canadian geese began fighting in the middle of Fantasyland. One guest captured the chaos on Instagram, with one video quickly going viral. Instagram user @as.always.andrea shared the footage, showing the animals squabbling as horrified families watched. The video showed some families stuck in the middle of the action, unable to make their way through the area without stepping into the geese’s battle zone.

While the geese’s fight undoubtedly left an impression, the real entertainment came from the comments that flooded in from Disneyland Resort fans. Instagram users were quick to point out that the original poster mistakenly called the geese “ducks.” As more people chimed in, the conversation quickly shifted to a lighthearted roast of Canadian geese.

“Wait those are geese tho?!?” @amazingjr87 replied. “Geese are vicious birds. Stay far away from them.”

“Those are Canadian geese,” said @popmusingsandmascara. “They can be VERY aggressive. They’re called ‘cobra chickens’ for a reason.”

Although the incident between the geese caused a bit of a stir, it seems that no major harm was done. The fight cleared up fairly quickly, and the animals eventually went on their way. Still, guests caught in the chaos might have left with a memorable (if unusual) story to tell.

While human brawls are rare at Disney, the occasional outburst of chaos can put a bit of a damper on the experience for families hoping to enjoy a peaceful day at the park.

Earlier this year, a Disneyland Resort guest filmed a shirtless man involved in a physical altercation with a security cast member at Disney California Adventure Park. Months before, a brawl broke out in Mickey's Mickey’s at Disneyland Park.

Do you have a favorite animal story from Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort? Disney Fanatic would love to hear it in the comments!
