Guests visiting Disneyland Resort on February 28 may encounter two very different groups planning to gather inside the parks on the same day. A coordinated “MAGA Invasion” promoted by a pro-Trump organization is set to overlap with the long-running LGBTQIA+ community event known as Mini Gay Days.
Since 1998, Gay Days Anaheim has been a cherished tradition for LGBTQIA+ Disney Park guests and allies. Participants typically wear matching red shirts and meet up around Disneyland Resort, celebrating the sense of safe community at the Southern California Disney parks.
Due to the event’s overwhelming popularity, Gay Days Anaheim eventually introduced the Mini Gay Days event. The smaller event returns on February 28, 2026. A full schedule has not been released, but attendees can already take advantage of discounted hotel rooms and theme park tickets through the Gay Days organization.
However, on February 28, Gay Days Anaheim won’t be the only group visiting Disneyland Resort en masse. The group 805 Patriots has announced plans for a “MAGA Invasion” at Disneyland Resort on February 28. The organization’s website promotes shirts that read “Make Disney Great Again” and encourages supporters to “stand for tradition and make your voice heard.”
A Reddit user, u/timmyboi, posted the group’s flier to warn other parkgoers about the planned gathering:

Disney Parks fans responded with strong opinions about the clash between the two events.
“I emailed Disney’s permissions team the link to their merch for review,” u/_LeafyLady commented.
Others suggested booking as many Park Pass reservations as possible on February 28.
“Counterpoint: Book all the reservations so MAGA can’t get in,” u/Realistic_Screen_917 wrote.
Many commenters questioned whether a coordinated political meet-up at Disneyland Resort should occur during a community-focused event like Mini Gay Days.
“Uh I know you’re allowed to wear political clothes, but should a political movement really be allowed to organize an ‘invasion’ of MAGAs, the worst people to be around en masse,” u/unwanted_peace argued.
Other fans were more frustrated by the idea of politics entering the parks at all.
“That is so lame,” u/Intelligent_Ad4495 wrote. “Disneyland is the place to escape and not think about things like politics.”
Disneyland Resort has not issued any public statement about the planned MAGA Invasion or how it may affect the guest experience on February 28.
