From Backlot to Blockbuster: New Disneyland Entrance Unveiled

For years, Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris has faced one criticism more than any other: it never quite felt like a Disney park at the front gate. With its cold, industrial soundstage entrance, the magic didn’t truly begin until you were well past the turnstiles. But this week, something quietly extraordinary happened—a transformation, nearly a year in the making, finally stepped into the limelight.

Disneyland Paris has officially debuted World Premiere, the brand-new entrance experience that ushers in not just guests, but a new era for the park. And while the headlines might focus on décor upgrades and immersive theming, there’s a much bigger story behind the curtain.

What does this all mean for the future of Disneyland Paris—and could this be the opening act of the park’s biggest glow-up yet?

[Live] Welcome to World Premiere!! Finally, the incredible transformation of Studio 1 has officially opened its doors! The new architecture, ambience, and music immerse in a truly cinematic experience, just wow ! Countless hidden details invite guests to slow down and look closer, every corner tells a story! It’s a beautifully crafted reimagining, and we are truly impressed by the scale and execution! A small note : we couldn’t help but wonder, where is the iconic plaque “Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy” on the Disney Theater façade? Also, while the new BGM is generally effective, a few tracks might feel slightly off-tone for the setting, in our view. But overall, this new chapter in the park’s narrative is off to a spectacular start! Full tour available on our Instagram!

Until last year, guests entered the Studios Park through Disney Studio 1, a giant indoor corridor designed like a behind-the-scenes movie set. While iconic in its own way, it never quite captured the wonder of Disney’s storytelling legacy.

But now, everything has changed.

World Premiere takes that once-industrial entry and reimagines it as the glamorous Hollywood movie premiere of your dreams. The exterior still resembles a studio warehouse—complete with the recognizable “1” above the arch—but once you walk inside, the transformation is breathtaking.

Guests are transported into a star-filled evening under a dazzling faux-night sky, surrounded by flashing marquee lights, vintage-style posters, and gold-trimmed fixtures. It’s no longer just a walkthrough—it’s an entrance worthy of applause.

Inside the Magic: Shops, Statues & Storytelling

Inside World Premiere, guests can explore The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant—a refreshed dining venue that evokes an elegant garden party in the shadow of the Hollywood Hills. Formerly known as Restaurant en Coulisse, the space now offers a completely new vibe: breezy, open, and cinematic.

Next door, the all-new Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique adds retail sparkle with subtle Art Deco styling and a heartwarming tribute to Disney’s most beloved character. The centerpiece? A stunning golden Mickey Mouse statue created by legendary Disney animator Eric Goldberg, surrounded by nods to vintage cinema and Los Angeles.

And for those looking to take home a piece of the magic, the boutique also features a Pandora counter offering Disneyland Paris-exclusive jewelry.

A Gateway to the Future

The new entrance isn’t just a cosmetic change—it’s a narrative one. Guests pass through the Disney Theater marquee and step into what feels like an immersive story, leading toward themed lands like Marvel Avengers Campus and, soon, World of Frozen.

Disneyland Paris confirmed that World Premiere Plaza, just beyond the entrance, will continue to evolve “in the coming months,” aligning with the park’s highly anticipated 2026 expansion.

This future-forward development includes:

  • World of Frozen

  • A “Tangled” attraction

  • A newly imagined “Lion King” area

  • And the grand rebranding of the entire park as Disney Adventure World

It’s a slow but steady metamorphosis, and World Premiere is the first true signal that we’ve entered the next phase of that evolution.

Why This Moment Matters for This Disneyland Park

This isn’t just a new coat of paint—it’s a strategic statement. Disney is clearly redefining the identity of Walt Disney Studios Park, shifting away from its once-disjointed studio lot theme toward a story-driven, immersive experience.

For longtime fans and first-time visitors alike, World Premiere isn’t just a beautiful entrance—it’s a promise. A promise that the second gate at Disneyland Paris is no longer an afterthought. It’s becoming a destination.

And if this is only the beginning, the red carpet might just be leading to something unforgettable.

Since first stepping inside the Magic Kingdom at nine years old, I knew I was destined to be a theme Park enthusiast. Although I consider myself a theme Park junkie, I still have much to learn and discover about Disney. Universal Orlando Resort has my heart; being an Annual Passholder means visiting my favorite places on Earth when possible! When I’m not writing about Disney, Universal, or entertainment news, you’ll find me cruising on my motorcycle, hiking throughout my local metro parks, or spending quality time with my girlfriend, family, or friends.
