Well, Disney fans, if you’re headed to Magic Kingdom in the next several months, you’ll want to be sure to cross Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island off your to-do list as they are both currently closed for refurbishment. Previously listed as “Closed for Refurbishment” through January 2, 2021, these two attractions are now showing closure through February 28, 2021.
While there is currently no official end date from Disney for the refurbishment, we can follow along with the My Disney Experience App and see both Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are listed under “Closed for Refurbishment” until March 1, 2021 when they are removed from the list. Of course, this doesn’t mean Disney can’t extend that date, but they are giving a clear sign that the refurbishment will in fact take several months.
