Disney’s Main Street Confectionery Refurbishment Gets Extended

If you’re looking to step into Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Confectionery and smell in all those sweet treats, you’ll have to wait a little longer! As previously shared, Main Street Confectionery closed on March 29 for a lengthy refurbishment. As Walt Disney World continues to update their park hours, we’re seeing the refurbishment has now been extended.

The Walt Disney World calendar now shows Main Street Confectionery listed through October 2, 2021 – which is currently as far as the park calendar goes. With that being said, you can expect that it may be extended once again, as Disney has yet to release a completion date. We will say we are surprised that the refurbishment seems like it will extend past Walt Disney World’s big 50th Anniversary on October 1, 2021.

If you’re a sweet lover and visiting Magic Kingdom, have no fear – there are still plenty of treats! If you head on over to the Emporium and Main Street Cinema, you’ll find select Main Street Confectionery treats are available for your taste buds to delight in.

We are hopeful that the refurbishment will be worth the wait as Disney has stated “this iconic location will soon receive a fresh new look, expanded layout with more room to shop and interactive opportunities to customize your confections like never before.” Customizing confections?
