Disney’s Physical Distancing Experiences Beyond the Parks with DVC Discounts in Mind

As many of the vacation kingdom’s most laid-back experiences are ideally suited to physical distancing, more resort guests than ever are seeking magic off the beaten path. Here are just a few of the many experiences beyond the parks that may help inspire your next Walt Disney World vacation plans.

Horseback Riding: Just off the shores of Bay Lake lies Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, where Walt Disney World horses call “home” and where DVC Members enjoy a discount on scenic horseback rides through pristine Florida forests. 

Tennis Lessons: – DVC Members enjoy discounts on tennis lessons and clinics taught by a staff of USPTA-certified professionals at participating resort tennis courts.

 

 

Surrey Bikes: From Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to Disney’s Old Key West Resort, several resorts around the neighborhood rent 2- and 4-person Surrey bikes for casual rides along scenic pathways, with DVC Members enjoying a discount.

Pool Cabanas: Balancing the Florida sun with personal shade, private pool cabanas at select Walt Disney World Resort pools pamper DVC Members (who receive a discount) and guests with a variety of creature comforts.  

Golf: DVC Member discounts offer a range of opportunities for Members to save while hitting the links, from mini golf to PGA-style golf to the increasingly popular “FootGolf,” a sport that combines the patient precision of golf with the athletic coordination of soccer.

Boat Rentals: Whether canoeing through Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground or motoring across the Seven Seas Lagoon, renting a boat is a great way to see the vacation kingdom from a different perspective. As many marinas have yet to resume their usual operations, be sure to inquire about offerings available during your vacation. 

TRIP TIP: Many Walt Disney World recreation experiences offer special discounts to Members with blue Disney Vacation Club Membership Cards (held by those who purchased directly from Disney), so be sure to ask about discounts when booking.
