The combination of drones, music and storytelling creates a breathtaking experience that guests talk about long after their visit.”
Neon Nights brings Wildwood Grove, the park's nature-themed family area, to life after dark with thousands of vibrant lights. “Neon Nights adds a completely different energy to the park,” Ramey said. “It turns Wildwood Grove into a bright, immersive world that gives guests another reason to stay and enjoy the park after sunset.”
Both experiences are limited to the Summer Celebration period. For guests who use the MEDIC ticket before summer ends, these are part of what the visit would include.

Dollywood has been constructing an indoor adventure coaster also called NightFlight Expedition, and it is the largest ride the park has ever built. The coaster is being assembled inside a 44,000-square-foot building in Wildwood Grove, features nearly a quarter mile of track, and is designed to reach 29 miles per hour over a five-and-a-half-minute ride experience. The minimum height requirement is 39 inches, and the ride concept positions it as a hybrid between a roller coaster and a whitewater river attraction, taking guests through a narrative about Secret Lake involving Smoky Mountain scenery, rapids, ridges, and bioluminescent water effects.
The original target for the ride was spring 2026. That window passed. Dollywood Parks and Resorts President Eugene Naughton has indicated a new target of mid-August 2026, which means the ride could open within weeks. If it does, a visit timed to the end of summer could include the ride's opening period alongside the final stretch of Summer Celebration programming.
For guests using the MEDIC ticket later in the fall or winter, NightFlight Expedition the coaster would likely be operating by then, making those visits different in scope from a summer trip.
