Test Track may have reopened with a major new look last year, but EPCOT isn’t finished updating the experience.
Guests returning to the attraction will now find another noticeable difference waiting beyond the ride itself. It’s the kind of change that could be easy to miss if you normally head straight for the exit.
And Test Track isn’t the only part of EPCOT getting attention. Several other areas around the park are seeing updates of their own, making this a particularly busy stretch for returning visitors.
Test Track Looks Back While Moving Forward
Before getting to the latest showroom update, Test Track itself has already experienced a significant transformation.
The newest version moved away from much of the futuristic atmosphere associated with the previous iteration. Instead, the attraction places a greater focus on transportation history and draws inspiration from World of Motion, which previously occupied the site.
The reimagining gave longtime EPCOT visitors a connection to the park’s past without eliminating one of Test Track’s biggest draws. Guests still get the high-speed finale that has helped make the attraction a major thrill ride.
General Motors also remains closely connected to Test Track, and that relationship continues after guests leave their ride vehicles.
The exit showroom gives visitors a chance to see real vehicles up close. Now, many of those vehicles have changed.
Newer Models Take Over Much of the Showroom
Guests entering the showroom after Test Track will find that most of the General Motors vehicles on the right side have been replaced.
The new collection leans heavily toward 2026 models from Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC. However, one vehicle goes a step further by giving EPCOT visitors a look at a 2027 model.
The opposite side of the showroom hasn’t received nearly as many replacements. Most of those vehicles remain as they were, although a vintage Impact from the 1990s has been added.
Visitors interested in learning more about the cars can speak with General Motors employees inside the showroom. They can answer questions, and guests interested in potentially purchasing a vehicle can discuss that as well.
Pricing and other details are also displayed on signs next to each model.
Eight Vehicles Make Up the Current Collection
The showroom covers everything from newer trucks and SUVs to older vehicles from the 1990s.
The current lineup includes:
- GMC 2026 Sierra 1500 AT4X
- Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, valued at approximately $221,000
- Chevrolet 2026 Silverado 1500 Crew RST 2WD
- Cadillac 2027 Vistiq Platinum
- Chevrolet 2026 Traverse Z71 AWD
- Vintage Impact from the 1990s
- Chevrolet 2026 Suburban Z71 AWD
- Cadillac 2026 Escalade Platinum Sport 4WD
Among those vehicles, the Cadillac Vistiq Platinum is currently the only 2027 model displayed.
The Corvette ZR1 also stands out for a different reason. With a value of roughly $221,000, it remains one of the showroom’s biggest attention-grabbers.
Those additions give guests who have already experienced the reimagined Test Track something different to explore, without any changes to the actual ride.
And elsewhere around EPCOT, visitors can find even more work underway.
World Showcase Has Its Own Updates
The changes extend beyond World Discovery and into several World Showcase pavilions.
Germany and Canada are both experiencing notable construction and updates, adding visible work to different sections around World Showcase Lagoon.
Mexico has experienced a more direct removal. The wood shop that previously operated inside the pavilion’s pyramid is gone, removing a familiar offering that guests may remember from previous visits.
France, meanwhile, has received an addition.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure recently gained new props. It’s a smaller update compared with the construction taking place elsewhere, but it adds another new detail for returning EPCOT visitors to discover.
All of these projects and adjustments create an EPCOT experience that can look different even for guests who visited relatively recently.
More Changes to Spot at EPCOT
Test Track’s showroom refresh doesn’t alter the attraction’s high-speed experience, but it changes what guests encounter immediately afterward.
New 2026 models now make up much of the refreshed display, while the 2027 Cadillac Vistiq Platinum offers an early look at a newer model year. The vintage Impact adds a completely different piece of automotive history to the collection.
Combined with construction in World Showcase, the Mexico pavilion removal, and new details at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the showroom update gives returning EPCOT visitors another chance to discover on their next trip.
