A drunk EPCOT guest allegedly assaulted a police officer and hid stolen items in a stroller. Here’s what we know about the incident.
On August 7, 2025, a TikTok video shared by user @mack.hall showed a woman being confronted by Walt Disney World Resort security near the World Celebration entrance to the EPCOT World Showcase. The video shows one of the woman’s children visibly crying, and another filming the incident with a tablet.
The incident reportedly began when the woman, a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, allegedly assaulted another guest. As security intervened, stolen merchandise was found in her stroller, which wasn’t carrying a small child at the time. According to a comment by the TikToker, the woman became increasingly confrontational with both Disney security cast members and law enforcement officers:
“The lady being handcuffed in the back of the video is the mom of the girl and boy that hug. There was no toddler that went in the stroller. The mom was trashed and had assaulted someone. Those people reported it to Disney. The mom refused to cooperate with the sheriffs because she’s a ‘pass holder and has rights.' Then she shoved a sheriff and took her away. The park manager took her kids away right after this video.”
Other EPCOT guests who witnessed the incident also shared their recollections in the comments.
“Lady being handcuffed was confrontational, stole items, was swearing and drunk,” @user761071740 commented. “She also refused to cooperate with police, shoved one officer and tried to use the excuse that she’s an annual pass holder so she can’t be arrested. Her kids are the boy and girl crying. She’s a model mother and obviously what we all aspire to be.”
The older son reportedly recorded the interaction on his tablet, while the daughter began asking when her mother would be released.
Although the incident has sparked intense discussion online, Walt Disney World Resort has yet to issue a public statement addressing the situation. The video and its viral spread raise concerns over the increasing reports of rowdy behavior among guests, with alcohol consumption at EPCOT’s World Showcase often cited as a factor.
Disney fans have long debated whether the park should introduce stricter regulations on alcohol consumption to prevent these types of incidents. While some argue that guests should be allowed to indulge while on vacation, others feel that the current “Drinking Around the World” culture at EPCOT has led to an increase in unruly behavior.
