Walt Disney World Resort has pulled forward the date of an upcoming refurbishment at one of the most popular spots in the EPCOT World Showcase. Guests who planned to drop by for a pint at the Rose & Crown in early 2027 will want to adjust their plans.
A Closure That Got Bigger and Earlier
In early October, Walt Disney World Resort announced that the Rose & Crown Table-Service restaurant in the United Kingdom World Showcase Pavilion would close for refurbishment in 2027. The original notice on its website said the dining room would shut on February 15, and many guests assumed the separate pub would stay open during the work.

That changed on Tuesday, October 13. Walt Disney World Resort updated the restaurant's webpage to say that both the Rose & Crown Dining Room and the Rose & Crown Pub will close for “planned maintenance” on January 11, 2027. That is roughly a month ahead of the first timeline.
Walt Disney World Resort expects both spaces to reopen “later in 2027” but hasn't named a specific date. For perspective, the Rose & Crown last closed for refurbishment in early 2021 and began accepting reservations again about a month after it shut down.
Other Ways To Get a Taste of the U.K.

Guests who want British fare while the Rose & Crown is closed can still visit the nearby Yorkshire County Fish Shop. It will keep serving its usual menu of fish and chips and Irish beer throughout the closure.
What To Expect From the Work

Walt Disney World Resort isn't expected to make any big or noticeable changes to the U.K. World Showcase Pavilion restaurant. Instead, cast members will likely handle standard maintenance and repairs that are hard to complete while EPCOT guests are dining there every day.
