Favorite EPCOT Holiday Experience Returns, But No Sign of Candlelight Processional Yet

Today is “Halfway to the Holidays”! That means Disney is celebrating with special announcements about what we can expect for the 2021 Holidays. We’ve learned a new special-ticketed event will arrive at Magic Kingdom called “Disney Very Merriest After Hours”. And now, our focus shifts over to EPCOT! It looks like a holiday favorite is returning, but we have yet to hear anything about the popular Candlelight Processional making a return.

Disney shares, “Where can you enjoy traditions from around the world, with inspiring music, tasty treats and family-friendly experiences? If you guessed EPCOT … … you are correct! The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will return this year, from Nov. 26 – Dec. 30, with Holiday Kitchens around the park, performances by Voices of Liberty, the guest favorite Cookie Stroll and more!”

The Candlelight Processional page still remains active on the Walt Disney World website, listed as “Temporarily Unavailable”. The last update on the page states, “We have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Candlelight Processional.”.

Our only hope for the Candlelight Processional is that Disney has said, “We’ll have so much more Walt Disney World Resort holiday fun to share with you in the months to come.” We’ll keep you posted as more announcements continue to roll out.

About Jamie Sylvester

I'm a Disney nerd! A kid at heart who loves the magic and memories of Walt Disney World. I follow all things Disney and enjoy the vacations, day trips, and weekend getaways, and geek out over the planning of such events. My goal is to experience as many Disney desserts and cocktails as possible! Married to another Disney nerd and blessed with a daughter and son, we thoroughly enjoy the magic at Disney and are here to help others experience the magic as well.
