Front Desk To Be Relocated During Disney’s Contemporary Resort Refurbishment

Big things are happening at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! We previously shared the news that Disney has announced they are refurbishing the guest rooms to an “Incredibles” theme. We’ve also learned The Wave…of American Flavors table-service restaurant is closing for refurbishment. The newest announcement from Disney is that the Contemporary Resort’s front desk and concierge will be relocated for refurbishment.

As shared via Walt Disney World website: “Please pardon our pixie dust as we update our Guest rooms and the first floor Lobby at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From July 16 through late September 2021, front desk and concierge services will be located on the second floor. Pro Tip: Save Time with Direct-to-Room Service: Want to go straight to your room when you arrive? Use Online Check-In service and Direct-to-Room service to get to the fun faster with real-time, room-ready updates—and use the My Disney Experience app as a digital room key.”

So, what’s to come out of this front desk refurbishment? Disney has stated: “In the lobby, you’ll soon see a collection of modern art pieces as well as historical, behind-the-scenes photographs of Disney’s Contemporary Resort in development and under construction.” We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about the refurbishment!
