Yes, five dollars for an ice cream bar is more expensive than the forty-two cent granola bar you can bring from home. However, in my opinion, balance is key. We often bring light snacks (and usually lunch) into the park, but then we “splurge” on an ice cream bar or bakery treat for dessert. Yes, it’s overpriced, but we’ve saved money on our meal and having a fun dessert adds magic to our experience. Also, for a great value in snacks, consider getting a popcorn bucket at the beginning of your trip. Refills are only $1.50—can’t beat that!
