There’s nothing more exciting than visiting the Walt Disney World Resort when there are new attractions to experience! Depending on your last visit to the parks, you’ll have both Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to explore on your next trip. Both lands brought two new attractions into the mix—Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey for Pandora - The World of Avatar and Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers for Toy Story Land. If you’re planning a trip in the near future, here are some tips for getting the most out of these experiences
1. Early Morning or After Hours Magic
If you’re willing to spend extra money for little to no wait times, Early Morning Magic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or After Hours Magic at either Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom is your best bet. Because these are separately ticketed events, crowd levels are significantly lower, giving you the opportunity to experience each attraction at least once, if not multiple times. Both lands are gorgeous are night, especially with the bioluminescent walkways throughout Pandora, so these hard ticket events are worth the extra money.
2. Child Swap
For Alien Swirling Saucers, Slinky Dog Dash and Flight of Passage, there is a height requirement. Unfortunately, if you have little ones, someone will have to stay behind. The good thing is that you can utilize child swap so that every adult in your family can experience the attraction. The best thing about child swap is that you won’t have to wait in the standby line again- you’ll be granted entry through the FastPass+ line.
3. Arrive at the park prior to opening
If you aren’t staying on property and haven’t taken advantage of FastPass+, your best option is to make sure you arrive at the park before it opens. There’s usually a line to get into these parks and, often times, an additional line to get into these lands and in line for these rides. Arriving early ensures that you get to experience the land before the afternoon crowd comes in and the park reaches peak capacity for the day.
