Walt Disney World is not a theme park that typically needs to work hard to fill its hotels and parks during the summer months. Summer has historically been one of the resort's highest-demand periods, and pricing has always reflected that reality. When Disney starts stacking deals specifically targeting the early summer window, it is worth paying attention to both the deals themselves and the context behind them.
Right now, Disney World is offering nine perks for guests traveling in May 2026. The combination of what is on the table makes this one of the most financially compelling months to visit the resort in recent memory. Most guests planning summer Disney trips are booking without knowing any of this exists. That is a mistake worth correcting before the booking window closes on some of these offers.
Here is everything available and what it actually means for your vacation budget.
The Full List of May Perks
V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days starts on May 1 and continues until July 31. This event offers exclusive merchandise, food and beverage selections, a collectible magnet, and dining discounts of up to 40% off at select restaurants. The dining discount is a highlight of the event. It is one of the steepest offers the program has provided in years.
Early Theme Park Entry allows guests staying at resort hotels and participating properties to access the parks 30 minutes before they open each day of their stay. During this time, select attractions are available, and the lower crowds lead to the shortest wait times of the day.
Extended Evening Hours offer extra time in the parks on select nights for guests staying at Deluxe resort hotels and other participating properties. During these hours, certain attractions remain open beyond the regular closing time. With fewer crowds and extended access, popular rides are much more accessible than during regular park hours.
Starting May 26 and running through September 8, Disney World hotel guests receive a complimentary water park ticket for every member of their party on arrival day, covering one water park visit at no additional cost.
The free kids dining plan offer allows Disney World hotel guests booking a vacation package with an adult dining plan to add a complimentary plan for children ages 3 through 9. The offer runs through October and can be combined with other select offers for additional savings.
A 4-Day 4-Park Magic Ticket covering all four Walt Disney World theme parks is available for travel from May 26 through October 3. Starting at $109 per day. Tickets must be used within 7 days of the chosen start date and purchased by September 27 for travel through October 3.
Guests staying at Disney World hotels from May 1 through October 4 can save up to 30% off room rates for stays of five or more consecutive nights. Some guests can get up to 25% off stays of 1 to 4 nights. The specific discount depends on the hotel and availability.
Annual Passholders can access hotel discounts up to 40% off most Disney World properties from May 1 through July 29 for stays of four or more nights. Representing a meaningful elevation above the standard hotel savings available to non-passholders.
The After 2 p.m. ticket offer is valid from May 26 through July 29. This gives guests discounted admission for afternoon and evening park visits. The 2-day option starts at $118 per day, and the 3-day option starts at $116 per day. The best part is that no park reservation is required. Making it one of the most accessible entry points Disney has offered for summer visits in years.
Why This Matters for Disney
A single month offering nine different perks at a theme park that typically doesn’t need to encourage visits deserves more attention than it currently receives. The combination of hotel discounts, free tickets, dining savings, and reduced admission options offers guests great opportunities to significantly lower the overall cost of a Disney vacation by planning their bookings around these offers.
The window is open. Most travelers do not know it exists. Now you do.
